Bethesda Update Kills Fallout: New Vegas

Public service announcement for Xbox 360 users: Do not install the Fallout: New Vegas update that came out on April 28!

That comes straight from the mouth of Bethesda Softworks.
Bethesda has urged users to decline the latest Xbox 360 update for Fallout: New Vegas following reports yesterday that it was causing system crashes and rendering game saves unplayable.

Holy crap.

Apparently, the update came from Obsidian, which developed New Vegas, and might be intended to pave the way for some new DLC. Instead, it hoses your saved games.

Still, I think this download sounds more fun than Dead Money. (Rimshot!)

Probably unrelated: On Wednesday, Obsidian went through a round of layoffs. Bad times all around.
