For the Love of God, Crysis 2, Just Let Me Save My Game

I mean, what are you, a Japanese RPG?

Seriously, what is the deal with putting so much time between save points?

A Crytek save point
It's obviously intentional, perhaps to increase the game's "difficulty," but it doesn't make the game any harder. It merely makes the hard parts more frustrating and repetitive, and it increases the likelihood of me chucking the disc into the fireplace.

In one case, I not only had to repeat a lengthy battle three times, but each time I began at a save point with two enemy soldiers directly in front of me, guns trained on my face. Was that some kind of joke?

Go straight to hell for that one, Crytek.

Here are two friendly suggestions:

1) Make the save points frequent and invisible, like pretty much every other American game that uses them. The Halo series comes to mind.

2) Even better, let me save the game whenever I want. I've got plenty of hard drive space, and I think I can handle the responsibility.

  1. I completetly agree, i stop playing because I passed so very hard parts, and get killed at the end, and start all over again? no, thank you. Far cry 3 has much better save system. If you want the game harder, you don´t save, if you don´t, you save as much as you like.
